The Honourable Ed Holder described life after politics.
The Honourable Ed Holder  brought us up to date with his activities after politics.  Ed served as Minister of State for Science and Technology and represented the riding of London West as an MP from 2008 to 2015.  Ed outlined his family history from Cape Breton to his move to London.  Before being elected as an MP, Ed worked in the insurance industry.  He established his own brokerage and ultimately became president of Stevenson-Hunt.  Ed has been active in London in service to our community.  Among the many organizations he has served as a volunteer are St. John Ambulance, the Chamber of Commerce, Business Cares, and the Sunshine Foundation.

The Sunshine Foundation grants individual wishes for disabled children and has granted 8,000 wishes for the past 20 years. An endowment of $1.4 million is the legacy of the Sunshine Golf tournament Ed, Wayne Dunn and others ran for many years.

Ed currently is involved in the many business he, Judite, and his daughter Claudia operate.  He is a member of the Saudi Canada council and continues to be active in community affairs.
