Rotarians -"Partners for Life"-Canadian Blood Services

“On Friday August 7, 2015, the Rotary Club of London South held its 3^rd “London South Gives a Pint”.  As our Club is now a “Partner for Life”, we are recognized in the entrance way to Canadian Blood Services along with many other community partners.  Also, on our Club’s day, we were warmly received including a  “Welcome” sign at reception.  Canadian Blood Services reserves 10 spots for us each donation date commencing immediately after our Friday meeting;   our Club’s next donation date is Friday October 2, 2015.  If you can donate blood, please sign up on our Events page.

 

As a “Partner for Life”, Canadian Blood Services tracks our donations;  anyone can donate in the name of our Club.  Members are encouraged to register themselves, spouses, and friends of the Club by going to the web page www.blood.ca/partnersforlife, and registering using our Partner ID number:  ROTA398070.   Our Club’s pledge is 20 units for 2015.

 

We have also donated to Blood Pressure Record cards to the Clinic at Wharncliffe Road South to allow donors to track their blood pressure on each day they donate.  As we hope to draw new members for our Club from the pool of community minded people who regularly donate blood, the cards also carry an invitation to come out to one of our meetings as our guest.
