Steve Dietrich discusses membership ideas

Steve Dietrich, President of the Rotary Club of London East, discussed membership ideas his club has used to increase their membership.  His club has an aging membership and needed an injection of new members or faced a long term decline.  They were successful in increasing membership but Steve it wasn't a straight line increase.  He emphasized some key points 1) you need a plan but it needs to be flexible, 2) the club needs to mention membership at each meeting, 3) get all members involved, 4) have some visual aid to remind everyone of the goal, 5) have materials to distribute to prospective members, 6) develop prospect list, 7) maintain momentum.  Integration of new members is one of the keys to maintaining membership.
