Jordan Boyd is the Housing Services Manager at YOU - Youth Opportunities Unlimited who spoke to us on Youth Homelessness and what's happening at YOU's Joan's Place.
She confirmed the sad news that as of March 31 2025, there were at least 1,942 individuals in London experiencing homelessness. Of these, 90 are known to be between the ages of 16 & 24. Joan's Place was the inspiration of the late Joan Smith and has been funded by her family to provide shelter and support to pregnant youth and new mothers. They are looking for London South's support in providing snacks and baby supplies and items that we may be able to obtain through Lionhearts.
