Stanley Carr, Business Development officer, for the Canadian Centre for Product Development explained how they assist new and mature companies test prototype products and existing products.  The Centre has an extensive testing facility with state of the art testing equipment.  Among the testing equipment are tensile, impact , corrosive , vibration, acoustical, electro-magnetic interference tests.  Most of these tests can be conducted in controlled environments ranging from minus 20 to plus 60 degrees.  The 25,000 sq. ft. facility opened on September 16, 2016 and is the only product validation lab in our region.  They serve a number of different industries including automotive, medical, aerospace, and help companies obtain data required for various product certifications such as CSA, UL, and CE.
