Days for Girls

Jillian Johnston presented the "Days for Girls" project which provides feminine hygiene kits for Girls in Kenya.  This sewing and education program provides reusable menstruation kits for Girls who would other wise miss school because of their menstural cycle.  These kits and sewing machines were provided to local Kenyan women as part of this program.  The sewing machines can be used to develop local businesses for women.  The result of the program is an increase of 180 days of school attendance for each girl over a three year period.  Jillian was thanked by Lorna with our certificate of appreciation providing sight to an individual through Operation Eyesight.
